some of the story

IMG_2280.JPG

every day Nature gives me something that amazes and inspires me;  infinitely varied and always beautiful  in some part of living or dying.

i forage obsessively for Her small hidden treasures wherever i go. like a bird i have hoarded Her"stuff" and intuitively weaved (over the last two years) this nest of images.........born  somewhere on the intersection of creativity, Natures abundant wabi sabi and my happenstance with the digital age.

they are my idea of play and keep me connected and mindful of why I am so rich in being a part of  here and now.

i loose a sense of a me with thorns  and derive immense pleasure from making them.....i hope you derive some of the same by looking.

"a solitary american monk named thomas berry writes that in our relationship to Nature, we have been self absorbed for centuries.  wrapped tightly in our own version of knowledge, we have been unreceptive to the wisdom of the Natural World.  to tune in again, to have the "spontaneous Environmental rapport" that characterised our ancestors, will take doing something that is perfectly delightful: re-immersing ourselves in the natural world."
